The Mission Hope group is trying to get at least 50 folks to sponsor a homeless person for a XMAS gift. The instructions are as follows, but this is not the master list so just post in the comments and I can add you to the group so you can get your name on the real list. Adopt the Homeless Friend for the Holidays If you would like to brighten the holidays for a homeless friend please add your name to the list below. Please know that the gifts do not need to be new, they can be very gently used. The gifts can be pants, shirt, socks, shoes, beanie, gloves, food, baked treats, hygiene items, deck of cards, etc. Really the idea is to have them open a few gifts and feel special. There are so many organizations that remember to take care of the needy children and provide baskets of food to families for their holiday meal. Our homeless friends have very little to make them feel special and let’s be honest, we all want to be special to someone. If we don’t have enough participation we won’t be able to offer this to them. Since we feed approximately 100 we will need to adopt at least 50 friends to make this a successful experience. **We will need to reach 50 by our Thanksgiving feeding to make this happen.
