The Modern Languages Dept. presents: Foreign Film Series 2014 Tuesday, September 30th, 6:30 p.m. in Trice A: Potiche Snacks provided! Earn up to 2 spectrum convo credits for attending 2/3 screenings! The Modern Languages Department presents its series of movie screenings, dedicated to promoting the use of modern languages on campus. These include French, Spanish, German, Chinese, and Japanese. The films shown cover a wide variety of themes and topics. In this comedy, Poitche, a trophy wife played by Catherine Deneuve takes the reins of the family business after her husband is taken hostage by his striking employees. She proves to be a highly effective business leader, to the surprise of many. Business and personal complications arrive in the form of her ex-lover and former union leader, played by Gerard Depardieu (IMDB) . All foreign films will be shown with English subtitles.
