The Moment u can make a very simple discovery; viz., tht Obligation to God is your Privilege, & is not imposed as a Burden, your Experience will Teach u many things, tht Duty is Liberty, tht Repentance is a Release 4rm Sorrow, tht Sacrifice is Gain, tht Humility is Dignity, tht the Truth 4rm which u hide is a Healing Element tht bathes yr Disordered Life, & tht even the Penalties & Terrors of God r the Artillery only of Protection to His realm. We shall have to criticize ourselves closely, and allow not one unfavorable trait to remain uncorrected. Never should we lower the standard of righteousness in order to accommodate inherited and cultivated tendencies to wrongdoing. We need to understand that imperfection of character is sin. Let no one say, I cannot remedy my defects of character. . . . The real difficulty arises from the corruption of an unsanctified heart and unwillingness to submit to the control of God. on our own we may not be perfect, but we have been perfected when we made personal choice of being of Christ.
