The Morden Corn & Apple Festival was a huge success despite the heavy rain on Saturday night. The main stage Winnipeg band D2UR evaporated the water with their solid rock music that made the crowd stomp for more Front guitarist, Mike Isbister and his lovely wife, Diane, lead vocalist, dazzled the mainstream crowd with their diverse sound accompanied with bass & rythm guitarists and a knock out drummer. It was the first time they played in the rain but it didnt stop the fantastic light show with original tunes from their hit list. Mike and I are old friends from my architectural days and it was good to see him enjoying being a rock star. Mike, Diane and the rest of the band members dropped by my booth and chatted it up before they hit the stage. It was a great evening.
