The More We Grow Together The Happier We Will Be (Ephesians 3-4) - TopicsExpress

The More We Grow Together The Happier We Will Be (Ephesians 3-4) Just like we each have different personalities, we also have different gifts, talents and callings. God made each of us different so we can all fit together and we each benefit everyone else. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; (Ephesians 4:11-13) Ultimately, we are supposed to grow into maturity, come together in unity and be the Body of Christ attached to the Head which is Christ. That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head -Christ- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:14- 16) It is time for all of us who say that we follow Jesus to stop being childish about our preferences and beliefs, stop believing every wind of doctrine that blows through causing division between us. Generally fights between church members, or even whole church groups, are usually either their interpretation of Scripture or over preferences like traditions. But we need to get to the point of love and maturity that we can come together in unity, focus on where we agree with Christ and become the United Body functioning with our Head. When we disagree with Theological issues it is usually true that each person or group has part of the truth and we need to learn from one another. How can you encourage Unity in the Body of Christ today? What can you do to come together and flow with the rest of the Body? The more we grow together the happier we will be!
