The Most Admired Companies of 2014.............. BANGALORE: Fortune and Hay Group have come up with the World’s Most Admired Companies List for 2014. Fortune describes this list as the “most definitive report card on corporate reputations”. The exercise got started with a pool of 697 companies chosen from the initial 1400 Fortune listed companies. To arrive at the final list, a questionnaire was sent to senior executives, outside directors and industry analysts-total 15,000 of them participated. The objective of the survey was to evaluate the companies on the basis of a set of 9 attributes- Ability to attract and retain talented people, Quality of management, Social responsibility to the community and the environment, Innovativeness, Quality of products or services, Wise use of corporate assets, Financial soundness, Long-term investment value and Effectiveness in doing business globally.
