The Most Dynamic Director In The Motor World Today Rajeev Chaba and his career in GM India and his projects and various plans.General Motors Company which is frequently known as GM is an American transnational holding corporation headquartered in Detroit, Michigan that, through its subsidiaries, designs, manufactures markets and distributes vehicles and vehicle parts and sells monetary services. Since Rajeev Chaba has joined the GM, the Asia Pacific has spurred its motors. He is often referred as the most dynamic Director in motor world today and so has he proved it. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IIM Bangalore. Previous to joining General Motors he worked for an automotive group in the UAE. Chaba began his GM profession in India in 1995 as a National Marketing manager. He served as Director, Sales and marketing, GM Japan where he facilitated restricting of the GM business counting appreciably increase in the sales of Suzuki produced Chevrolet Cruz. Before his latest appointment, he has served as Chief Operating Officer of GM India as well. He has very well proved himself as an asset with his diverse business experience which includes significant global experiences. Since Rajeev has joined GM, it has taken an impressive leap into the admired charts of Indian vehicles. He has a set of outstanding leadership skills which play a key role in building upon the foundation set up by his predecessors in a tremendously important market for the company. General Motors India came up with the start of the Chevrolet Indian Revolution where they unveiled three new Chevrolet passenger cars: the Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, Chevrolet Optra SRV and Chevrolet Aveo. All three cars were built in Halol at General Motor’s manufacturing facility. General motor India also launched the 2006 NY edition of the Chevrolet Tavera. With an extra 3rd row space and comfort, handiness and lavishness feature, this upgraded model takes India’s entire MUV segment to a new level. “The 2006 Chevrolet Tavera represents an extension of General Motor’s commitment to exceed customer expectations in our products and services,” said Chaba. He was also looking to corner a ten percent market share by 2010. A forever optimist, he says, “The Chevrolet was among the fastest growing car brands in India and would push up the company’s sales on a higher trajectory. General Motors regards India as one of the key markets for investments,” adding that the company would be more aggressive in its approach. Along with leading General Motor’s Indian engine, had planned to extend capacity at its Halol plant in Gujarat.
