The Motion to throw out the Verdict and have a new Trial was entered on March 21, 1961, 18 days after Chester was wrongfully convicted. The Motion has 17 specific reasons why the trial was rigged, prejudicial, and/or plainly unconstitutional. Especially interesting is that three jurors were prepared to testify under oath to the facts in Harry Hermanns complaint of Jury tampering. Judge Leonard Hoffman, close personal friend of Gov. Stratton, (who was being investigated by Virgil Peterson, head of the Illinois Crime Commission) Denied the Motion. Shocking!
