The Movie Noah has created an uproar in some of the Christian communities. I personally dont like to criticize by hearsay...so, I went to see the movie with my family. #DontJudgeMe! Here is what I drew out of this movie: 1. It is not your Sabbath school story. The Director took the story of Noah, who builds an ark and ran with it. 2. It is dramatic & filled w/creative expression & lots of speculation. The movie industry is not purposed to accurately tell a story, it is entertainment. 3. Read the Bible FIRST (Genesis 6-8) if you plan on watching it. It will challenge the viewers understanding of The Bible. LIke they say,The Book is always better! 4. This film will definitely generate a lot of opportunities for Bible study with people who know very little about scripture. Take advantage of that opportunity. 5. Did it change my perception of Gods character? Absolutely Not!! But it is relevant to our present day. It is definitely a story of Warning! Despite all the distorted elements of this story...it is still relevant to our day. Surely, the Word of God was not given for entertainment, but it has made us WIser to know Truth from Error! Condemning the Director of writing such a story shouldnt upset us, it should encourage us to know that....He Is Coming Soon. The story of Noah is purposed for a time like this. The world was once destroyed by a flood, it wont be water next time...it will be fire. Malachi 4:1,3 The invitation to come to Him is still open...have you RSVPd yet? Do I encourage you to watch it?
