The Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is a 2 hour and 5 minute 60-question multiple choice test designed to measure knowledge of standards related to a lawyer’s professional conduct. A passing grade is required for admission in virtually every US jurisdiction. The next MPRE is Saturday, August 9, 2014. Applications, available at ncbex.org, must be received by Tuesday, June 17 (late registrations accepted until Thursday, July 3, at double the normal $80 fee). Professor Theodore Silver, a nationally known standardized test preparation author and tutor, will offer a free MPRE prep course on Sunday, July 27, 1-5 p.m. in Room 210.
