The Munich diaries Causalities: - Tim Allen ( midnight chunks) - Adam Spillane ( morning chuddering) - Patty (hand-to-bin barf) Highlights: - €2 beers - the food - the women (Walpoles highlight) From the moment we found the hostel bar selling 0.5l beers for €2, this night was only going to go one way....to fun town! And with Tim consuming his own body weight in booze before we even left the hostel, it was only going to end one way. Tim did not disappoint. At around 2.30am he had a very important decision to make. Stay still and throw up in bed? Or cup the mouth and sprint for the toilet. He athletically (but drunkenly) got across the room in a single bound trying not to spill his bile. It was a sight to behold. After the hostel, we made or way to the restaurant for what can only be described as a feast of gargantuan proportions. The table was filled with steiners, schnitzels, sausages, duck, pork knuckles and soft pretzels. It was delightful and really set us up for the rest of the night. We then made our way to Kultfabrik (an area with back-to-back clubs) where we drowned ourselves in cocktails and Lager Bier Helles. This is where the night gets a little hazy so I will sum the rest up as bullet points of my current memories: • Free bottle of vodka • Walpole, frog marched out of a club • Walpole smoking in a strip joint (Im not entirely sure why we were there but he had a piss and we left) • Friendly Germans • Hostel bar at 2am • Showering in the early hours • Struggling to get on the top bunk • Sleep Judging by this mornings room aroma, today is going to be a bit of a slow starter. But tonight we will have to pick up the pace as Tim was up and about at 8am. If the stag is able to do this, his disciples are letting him down. Hopefully the only casualty from tonight will be Tims self respect!
