The Muse in Willits and the Isian Society for Integrate Studies will be hosting its 12th annual Dumb supper for the Ancestors. This multi - cultural finger food ceremony is to memorialize those who have gone before us with a silent mass accompanied by a few ancient songs for the ancestors and celebration after the ritual. The rite begins at sundown and usually lasts approximately 90 mins . Bring a photo of your beloved dead for the Altar and their favorite food to share with others. This is not a dinner but it is a great way to talk about those who have gone before us and to remember them at this time of year. I always tell everyone what I want others to bring to the Dumb Supper when I pass . Mac and Cheese Stewed Tomatoes and Fruit Salad. .. WE hope to see you there. Though we do not charge for this event we do collect donations for the event and the proceeds go to our local hospice in Willits. Please give the Muse a call and let us know your coming.
