The Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket being considered by APC as - TopicsExpress

The Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket being considered by APC as against the traditional Christian/Muslim or Muslim/Christian ticket practiced by every other party in Nigeria including the PDP goes to confirm the saying that APC is a none inclusive Muslim-only party. Even in our national history both during civil or military, it had always been the same except for the General Muhammadu Buhari dictatorship where he sidelined the Christians and made a fellow Muslim Tunde Idiagbo his second in command. This is to show you the kind of leadership to expect from a Buhari led APC. Even Fani Kayode a prominent APC stalwart who had in the past hammered the President Goodluck Jonathan administration had of late been making some statements showing his discomfort with some irregularities of this new mega party. Kayode had sometime ago warned the leadership of the APC of their Anti-Igboness which was obvious from the fact that no Igbo man holds any position in the party. He also warned them over the fact that the top hierarchy of the APC were made up of only Muslims with no Christian representation. Just last week, he predicted the fall of APC if the party goes along with their planned Muslim/Muslim ticket. Even my good friend on Facebook and a strong advocate of the APC Kelechi Eme have started developing cold feet of late as is evident from some of his posts as probably he too have started seeing what people like myself saw of any association that has the likes of Buhari in their mix. Let me take you back to the man called General Muhammadu Buhari. Born December 17, 1942, Buhari is Fulani from Daura in Katsina State. Despite a very interesting military career which was cut short by his overthrow by General Ibrahim Babangida on August 27, 1985. It must be noted that as a military man, he served as petroleum minister and headed NNPC where he helped steal our money. As a military dictator, this man killed any form of press or civil freedoms in Nigeria and was the main advocate to having Nigeria, a country made up of 50% if not 60% Christians to be declared a Muslim country. That was the military man called General Muhammadu Buhari. The civilian General Muhammadu Buhari is no different from the military man as this same man through his utterances as a bad loser he is, cost the lives of Igbo NYSC members serving in the North and to show his total disregard for the Igbo nation, up till today, he has not deemed it fitting to make a formal apology rather he continues with more threats of bloodshed all targeted at Ndi Igbo and Christians. Quick question; who are the usual victims of religious and political uprisings in Nigeria? Jiri ire gi guo eze gi onu. What do we expect from a Tinubu/Buhari/Akitu mix? Corruption will skyrocket in Nigeria as all three men have their names tied to so many corruption cases ranging from Buharis PTF days to Tinubus Toronto and financial corruption charges on to Atiku bribery case that caused the disgrace of an American lawmaker who was implicated in the case. This is also a very highly unlikely and very volatile mixture of men with different selfish agendas in a country still struggling with stability. APC will only bring the end of Nigeria as it is a mixture of confused and greedy men who in their fight for their selfish and religious interests will only drive this country into civil war and eventual breakup. Looking at the cases of unrest in Nigeria today, one cannot help tracing the APC connection to the Boko Haram menace as the insurgent group seemed to have sprang up in response to the clarion calls by the likes of Buhari, Lawan Keita, El Rufia (the man in the habit of insulting the name of Christ Jesus and our Christian institutions - Google it) among others. Rather than raise their voices to condemn terrorism, APC attack the government from one side and Boko Haram (the violent arm of APC) attack on the other side. Are these the same people who claim to mean well for us? Are these the same people who want our trust? Why the desperation for power even at the detriment of human lives? These men mean no good for the common Nigerian and voting them into power will only signal the beginning or the end of whatever freedoms we once took for granted under the government of President Goodluck Jonathan. Come to think of it, what is the crimes of Goodluck Jonathan? Chiefly amongs his crimes to the likes of Buhari is that he is a Christian which in Buharis books is the biggest sin. Jonathans other sin is that he is encouraging the almajiris to go to school thereby breaking the trend of making everybody poor so that they depend on the elites, a trend in the North which helps them control the illiterates and use them to attack anybody they want (leading to the deaths of Christians and Ndi Igbo over the years). This same strategy is what Okorocha is trying to practice in Imo today but the Igbo man spirit ka nke aboki. Looking at Owelle Rochas Okorocha who called the Pan-Igbo party APGA a cultural group after this party with the support of Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu saw him into Douglas House and his affiliations with people like Buhari who has never hidden his disregard for Ndi Igbo, makes me wonder Owelles true allegiance. Is his interests solely for his pocket or for his mothers people and their religion? Jiri ire gi guo eze gi onu. Time will tell all, I only pray we dont make that mistake we will live to regret. Ka Chineke mezie okwu. Comrade Obinna Akuwudike
