In some places the two major sects of Islam – Sunnism and Shiaism - are on the verge of civil war. The aftershocks of these conflicts are being felt all over the world – even on the streets of Britain. Sectarianism is definitely gaining ground – even becoming mainstream. And as sectarian rhetoric continues to gain ground on the airwaves and on social media, there are fears that violence or worse could be an inevitability.
