The Mysterious Ways of Darkness Lacie Brooke Riggs I wander these empty streets at night, the street lights are my only guide. I count the cracks in the sidewalk as I count the breaks in my heart. I speak out into the darkness. She slowly wraps her cool arms around me. She carries me softly into a trance of peace. Im flying into the soft light of the moon. She guides me hand in hand to a heaven full of mysterious dreams. We slowly descend from our haven we share. She kisses me gently on the lips and leaves. She no longer returns. I yell out into the darkness, it is a vast sea of emptiness cloaked with darkness.
