The N.O.O.N. gathering at Willow Bay in Onondaga Park for the annual Thanksgiving celebration on the shores of the sacred lake was idyllic this morning. Joining hands in a large circle with Native Americans, Peace Council members, Women Transcending Boundaries ladies and more (including a couple from the Netherlands that planned to be here for this ceremony again this year as they were last year) and sharing briefly what we are thankful for is a beautiful tradition. And the beautiful snow, gently falling and coating the tree branches, geese flying over the lake, coffee ad sweets afterwards and much conversation and sharing made this the best start and appropriate beginning to Thanksgiving Day.
