The NCPD hosted a Youth Police Academy on Saturday for 30 members of our Police Activity League’s Special Needs Program, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at our Department. Participants met our K-9 and Mounted units, participated in an obstacle course, saw one of our helicopters up close, and learned what it’s like to be a police officer from our talented Police Academy instructors. Special thanks to the Nassau County Police Foundation for generously funding this great event and making the day possible!
