The NDTF welcomes the mhrd seeking explanation from the du vc as to why the CBCS is sought to be introduced without doing any ground work. It is obvious to the university community that the outgoing vc and his team are bent on creating fyup type of turmoil in the university to avenge rollback of fyup and discredit the present NDA Government. The NDTF note of dissent and its resolution in the 21st January 2015 AC meet stands vindicated by the mhrd intervention. The NDTF had demanded the UGC note on CBCS must be sent to all stake holders for wider discission. In a university of the size and diversity of DU decisions on academic and administrative issues impinging upon lakhs of students cannot be taken in a cavalier manner. Any change from marks system to grade system to facilitate inter university migrations must be thoroughly discussed. It has to be ensured that all the nomenclatures, structures( honours and programs degrees), 3years span of undergraduate degrees, workloads of teachers , etc. are maitained. This requires indepth study and wider discussion which ndtf is sure will now follow.
