The NFL is (or was) too violent. I hate the notion that guys have to damage their brains for my entertainment. I have GOP Politians for that. On the other hand, I was worried that American football would degrade to flag or touch football thats popular with youngsters. This morning there are 8 NFL games going on. Technology lets me watch all of them at the same time. The day started with an orgy of turnovers -- forced fumbles and interceptions. That was followed by an onslaught of touchdowns, even from QBs that cant even spell TD. Im left wondering if coaches and players are revamping their strategy. The defense is going for turnovers more than hits/tackles. Its a different sort of sport this morning. Its still a bunch of oversized millionaires in Spandex. I still want to carry the babies of a handful. (swoon) But the scores make the games move faster. And all the scoring speaks to my inner ADHD.
