The NHC is discounting the new GFS solution....this evenings produced the same result. Given that not sure what is going on with the super computer GFS.... Dorian looks pretty good very close to becoming a cane as the NHC noted an eyewall structure at times this evening. Model consensus is still to keep it a Tropical Storm and to weaken it to at least a depression as it nears the Bahamas. I still maintain that if it can hold tropical characteristics it then will have a great chance of firing up...we shall see. The latest GFDL will be out shortly....!
