E Bruce Lyskawa of Bruce Transportation Group Racing, and myself acting for my sponsor Meredith HD organized a special fall morning practice that allowed expert rated racers to take out our 883 Twinsport bikes for five laps to check them out. Bruce and I were trying to convince other racers to buy and build out 883s to fill out the LRRS/GP Pro grids for the 1993 season. It did work, but with limited success selling only two or three guys on the idea. We repeated the venture in 93, but ended it that year as local fast guy (God rest his soul) Jim Lester and a pal decided not to test the bikes, but to have a five lap sprint race, Jim ended up binning my ride so badly that I was a DNS for the last race of the championship, it pushed me out of first place and down to third... Live and learn! LOL!—
