The NRP now claims that the introduction of new airlift into the VAIA is their doing. According to them, they were negotiating with these airlines all along. What nonsense. In 5 years and 18 null and void months, NRP couldnt bring any airlift to Nevis (save Cape Air) and now wish to take credit for what they know nothing about. LEST WE FORGET this is what this CCM commited to at page 34 of its Manifesto in the last election: The CCM will aggressively pursue greater airlift into the VAIA by providing seat guarantees, where necessary, in conjunction with the tourism partners and MUA. Nevis cannot develop without airlift and every effort will be made to increase airlift from hubs such as St Maarten, Antigua and Puerto Rico together with charter services to the neighbouring islands of St Barths, Anguilla, Statia and Saba. This Government isnt just talking the talk, we are walking the walk and following our blueprint in our Manifesto People Matter More. Tell NRP to take credit for land for debt and for moving Nevis debt from $150 million after 23 years of the NIA to $400 million after the reckless spending of the NRP in 5 years and 18 null and void months. . That is their legacy. They dont know a thing about attracting airlift.
