The NW and specifically Oregon are geographically positioned to take full advantage of U.S. and global transportation systems to deliver products manufactured here to both domestic and foriegn markets. We desparately need a strong leader who recognizes that now is the time for Oregon to assume a leadership role in the dispencing of all the anti-business buraeucratic red tape bullshit, pull a page from reaganomics and offer some extremely attractive tax incentives for the wealthy to uncinch those purse strings and provide some serious venture capital for the purpose of building state of the art manufacturing facilities right here in Oregon employing a U.S. labor force that will kick ass and take names of the closest chinese competitors. We need to set the example for the rest of the country to follow. We can be that state that goes down in history as the fiscally responsible beacon which provided the light to lead the U.S. out of economic darkness. It is time for the new industrial revolution! It is time for the U.S. to take back the role of a producing nation and tje re-emergence of a manifacturing class of laborer in this country which is once again banking a livable wage enabling them to re-board the american dream express...own their own home..a nice car..pay for their childrens college..these things dont happen if we buy in to the lie that we cant compete with chinese wages..HOGWASH! Its why we created a little economic equalizer my third grade teacher called tarrifs on goods exported from less developed countries with lower standards of living and income. you want to sell your goods to the american people but only want to pay a chinese worker .50hr to make the product. well that product will be taxed by the american govt. making it impossible to sell that product at a price thats lower than the american mfg. product. now thats what i call fair trade practices.
