The NWSs Enhanced Data Display is a desktop weather tool that alerts you to potential weather hazards along a travel route. And it does a great deal more. There is not an app, unfortunately, but if you input the URL into, say, the Safari browser on an iPad, it will kick you over to a companion mobile site. This is something worth playing around with in order to get the full effect. It is still considered an experimental tool, meaning our programmers are still tinkering with it, but it is also fully functional. preview.weather.gov/edd/
