The Nandlall Tapes...Oh the Double Standard Government of Guyana in its statement last evening said The Government of Guyana condemns in the strongest possible language the despicable act of a national newspaper to distort and manipulate a private conversation of a Government Minister, whose conversation was illegally recorded, and distorted, and broadcast. This is coming from the same Government of Guyana that waved with glee and criticised openly and in parliament a recorded private telephone conversation between a sitting police commissioner and an opposition member of parliament a few years ago. That recording is believed to have been obtained by Drug King pin at the time Roger Khan and the Government never bothered to investigate how the Police Commissioners line was bugged by a Drug Lord but wanted action on the contents of the conversation. Now the same government is trumpeting private conversations and ignoring what is said in the conversation since it involves the Attorney General. Sometimes I am convinced that folks have their heads stuck so far up their ass, they could do their own colonoscopy.
