The National Arts Centre, including le café, has re-opened for business, with all scheduled performances and events going ahead as planned following the tragic incidents that took place in downtown Ottawa yesterday. The Freiman Lane entrance to the NAC Box Office and parking garage is now closed due to the ongoing police investigation. Patrons are advised to use the NAC’s main entrance off Slater and Elgin Streets to access the garage. Cars dropping off patrons at the Box Office may proceed to parking garage level 3 and exit the building free of charge. Patrons may also park in the garage at any level and have their parking ticket validated by the box office for half an hour of free parking. The production of Once, playing in Southam Hall, will continue its run from October 23 through to October 26, and The Importance of Being Earnest, playing in the Theatre, will continue October 23 through to November 8. Surrender, Leftovers, Hero & Heroine by Amber Funk Barton and Josh Martin runs from Oct. 23 through to October 25 in the Studio, and Toronto Comedy All-Stars will take place in the Fourth Stage. Once and The Importance of Being Earnest ticket holders for the October 22 performances may exchange tickets for another date of their respective performance, subject to availability. Ticket exchanges may be done at any time during the performance runs in person at the NAC Box Office, or by sending a copy of the tickets by email at [email protected] or fax at 613.947.7112 to the NAC Box Office. The NAC Box Office is open Monday to Saturday 10 am to 9 pm at 53 Elgin or by phone at 613 947-7000 ext. 620. We encourage ticket holders to begin exchanges as of today at 10 am.
