The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for wind and low relative humidity which is in effect from 9 am this morning to 6 pm this evening, Thursday March 13th. Winds – Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Humidity – as low as 10 to 15 percent. Impacts – any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is NOT recommended. Areas affected – NE North Carolina and SE Virginia.
