The Needles and Hooks prayer shawl group of Columbia United - TopicsExpress

The Needles and Hooks prayer shawl group of Columbia United Methodist Church has decided to support World Vision’s “Knit for Kids” program. This program enlists knitting and crocheting groups to craft hats, sweaters and blankets for children living in poverty. In 2013, over fifty three thousand handmade items were distributed worldwide. We are asking any yarn crafters to join us in this project. You can work from home at your own pace or join us as we meet from 1:00--3:00pm the second and fourth Thursday of the month in the Senior Center. Patterns for sweaters are available at the Needles and Hooks table in the lobby near the sanctuary entrance. There will be a collection box on the table for your hand crafted items. We plan to mail our first donations in September. If you have any questions see Mary Catherine Kelly, Pat Sprout, or Sue Leas.
