The Netherlands continues to prove itself as the largest cycling nation of the world and the Consulate General keeps spreading that message here in Australia. The latest showpiece concerns a bike path inspired by Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’. Artist Daan Roosegaarde teamed up with Heijmans Infrastructure to create an incredibly beautiful tribute to Vincent van Gogh: an illuminated bike path that glows in the dark. The opening of the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path marks the start of Van Gogh 2015, a year of cultural events honoring the 125th anniversary of the artists death.
