The New Frozen Trailer Is Genuinely Magical Disneys newest - TopicsExpress

The New Frozen Trailer Is Genuinely Magical Disneys newest animated delight, Frozen, doesnt open for a few more weeks, but already anticipation is building, like layer after layer of frost. Back at the D23 Expo over the summer (a kind of Disney-only Comic Con), people were already dressed as the characters from the movie -- the fair princess Anna (Kristen Bell) and her witchy sister Elsa (Idina Menzel), better known as The Snow Queen. Now thats the power of prerelease hype. But so far the trailers for Frozen have been somewhat lackluster, failing to capture that classic Disney spirit that the movie really embodies (Ive seen it and it is spectacular). Well, that has just changed with an online-only trailer that wonderfully exhibits the tone and spirit of the movie. In fact, this trailer gives off the vibe that Frozen that could have followed, say, Beauty & the Beast in the Disney lineage. Because it really could have; its that good. Based loosely on Hans Christian Andersens fairy tale The Snow Queen, a story that Walt Disney himself tried unsuccessfully to develop in the studios post-war years, Frozen follows Annas quest to thaw Elsas heart and return the kingdom to less icy conditions. Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), a gruff mountain man and Olaf (Josh Gad), a chatty snowman, join Anna on her quest. Its a magical movie, folks. The trailer calls it The Greatest Animated Event Since The Lion King, which is pretty fair. It also doesnt hide the fact that the movie is (gasp) a musical, with some really, really wonderful songs. If you arent jazzed about Frozen already, well, this trailer will probably make you want to start in on your own Elsa and Anna costumes for the next D23 Expo. youtu.be/RwnQMfJBnrQ
