The New Jersey Senate on Thursday confirmed Camden County judge - TopicsExpress

The New Jersey Senate on Thursday confirmed Camden County judge Lee Solomon’s appointment to the state Supreme Court. The action, by a 34-2 vote, allows Gov. Chris Christie to fill one of two court vacancies that have persisted for more than three years. The nomination of Solomon, a Republican, was considered as part of a compromise struck between Christie and Senate leaders, by which Chief Justice Stuart Rabner, a Democrat, was renominated for tenure.
