The New Orleans Institute for the Imagination (NOII) is a Louisiana based non-profit organization which creates educational workshops and arts programs for people of all ages and ethnicities, especially those in under-served communities. Through these workshops and programs, NOII documents, preserves and cultivates the region’s diverse cultural traditions and abundant historical contributions in the arts. NOII provides opportunities and resources for the public to learn from world acclaimed New Orleans based artists of all disciplines. In addition, NOII houses a library and archive containing manuscripts, correspondence, first edition books, periodicals, photographs and audio reels pertaining to the history of American literature, music and the visual arts.
