The New Ross Standard leads with a front page on Palestine for the first time ever! About the massacre in Gaza? No! About the huge solidarity around the country for Palestine? No. About some poor graffiti up at the Culcita roundabout? Yes, thats the measure of their Gaza coverage. They also tried to link the local group to the graffiti. And it even drew a comment from a Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Sheehan even though he couldnt bring himself to reply to the email he was sent last week asking him to clarify his stance on the ongoing israeli genocide of Gaza. And just to let any person who reads this KNOW that New Ross IPSC or Palestine Group had absolutely no involvement in the graffiti/defacement of that wall at the roundabout in Ross. In todays Standard it was implied that we had. Further action is pending. We utterly condemn that piece of vandalism. I and all other members are angry at such defamation.
