The New Start Come here she called me as soon as I entered the door of our house which the maid opened for me, and took away my lunch box. I watched HER, she had fixed her glare out there in the skies as she stood in our balcony. Im sorry sweety! Too much work. I had the deadline of today so was working... i spoke losening my neck tie, but she cut me in between. Shhhhh... she said putting her hand on my mouth. The moon was shining so bright that night, scattering its brightness on my beloved wife and that made her look much more beautiful and attractive. Her eyes glittered and unlike my expectations, she wasnt even a bit mad at me. We stood there looking deeper into each others eyes. Her hand was still on my mouth. She took a step closer to me and kissed her hand placed on my lips and then removing her hand, she placed a kiss on my lips. I was so pleasantly taken by the moment as she kissed me. I kissed her back, holding her tighter to me. We had one of our best kisses. And she softly backed off, looking into my eyes. Whats happening baby? i asked her gently. She hugged me like a little kid, i held her making her feel secured in my arms. What happened bache? i asked her. She backed off again, till then, she had not said a word. I looked into her eyes that were damp. I asked her again, Tell me? as I was getting more worried now. She sobbed, turning away from me, she rested against the cupboard and sobbed. I went closer to her and made her face me. I was silent and she too was silent now. Baby... I... she spoke, stammering. I waited for her to complete. She sobbed like a kid and managed to utter, Im pregnant! she said crying. I stood there, still for a while and then taking her in my arms I hooted out of happiness. Wow! Thats great news! i spoke joyfully. Hugging her tighter. Hmmm.. she spoke, hugging me back. But why are you crying? i asked her. I dont know she said, Im nervous. she added. I chuckled, feeling euphoric enough to let few tear drops down. Dont worry baby. Were in this together i said and kissed her forehead. She made herself comfortable in my hold, smiling. - Arhaan
