The New Underground Railroad is Garys Clean Up Broadway Project and Chicagos Blacktown. On Saturday, June 8, 2013, 63rd to 66th from California Avenue to Yale Street (200 blocks) was designated as Blacktown. Just like Chinatown, Greektown, and Little Italy, the need for an area that other cultures can come to learn and experience our way of life is the purpose of creating a strong and vibrant Blacktown. This is what independent candidate for Mayor of Gary, Sy Smith is pushing for. As Mayor of Gary 2015, I will ensure 63rd Street Chicago has a steady rotation of Gary males to conduct anti-exploitation operations (businesses owned by people who only take resources), anti-isolation operations (working to get suburbanites involved), and anti-starvation (working to meet the emergency needs of the people) operations. As I have been doing for over six months now, youth from 63rd & Claremont, 63rd & Damen, 63rd and Carpenter, and 66th & Justine will continue to visit Gary and and work with our Gary teenagers.
