The New Year starts off with death: 81 year old Donna Douglas, the actress who won over TV viewers as Elly May Clampett on “The Beverly Hillbillies” met the God who offered His believers a heavenly mansion. The star’s granddaughter told TMZ Douglas died in her Louisiana home surrounded by friends and family. The cause of death was pancreatic cancer. Donna was born a Catholic but died a Baptist.
