The New York Post articles states that the Dow crossed the 18,000 milestone for the first time, that Wall Street was in a festive mood after data showed the economy expanded at the fastest clip in more than a decade in the third quarter. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.4 percent to close at 18,024.17. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index climbed 0.2 percent to a record 2,082.17. And the strong finish bodes well for one of the longest bull markets in history. Stocks are on track to rise for a sixth straight year since hitting a low in 2009. Six straight years of success? Guess who was in charge for those 6 years. Who brought us out of the great Republican recession and managed the greatest economic recovery in the world. Europe and the rest are far behind us. Yet the Post doesn’t even mention the president. I bet congress doesn’t either. But I will. Thank you Barack Obama for the great economic success. nypost/2014/12/24/dow-crosses-18000-sets-record-in-time-for-christmas/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=NYP%20180%20Day%20Openers%20and%2030%20Day%20Signups&utm_campaign=NY%2520Post%2520Newsletter
