The New York Times says 25,000 people marched in Manhattan - TopicsExpress

The New York Times says 25,000 people marched in Manhattan yesterday. But somebody produced a video showing millions marching. Lawrence Pettit, like you I think we have to call out mendacity (lying, stretching the truth, falsification) where we see it. Heres the point: when somebody says that such and such is a fact, ask them how do they know it. If they cannot tell you the source of their information, it may be false. Similarly, people can produce pictures, sound, and videos for reasons of propaganda. In this case, when photos of the parade are not enough, one in the video lab produce the millions you wish had turned out for your parade. Craig Happ, Sue ONeil Schottelkorb, Scott Schmid
