The New Yorker has its annual food issue coming out this week. Theres a provocative essay called Shut Up and Eat that argues that we shouldnt take food so seriously. I do agree with that notion and many of the things that the writer says. HOWEVER, he deemed the báhn-mì boom [sic] to be ridiculous. I beg to differ, especially in light of this story in the Fresno Bee.
