The News Journal did a story on the WPD that was less than flattering. Unfortunately the article did not speak to the numerous hours that many of the officers invest into the community at meetings, community events and just by availing themselves to lend an ear or to be has helpful when asked. The days off spent in the community , the time spent with our youth and the hours partnering with community groups trying make a difference wont be breaking news. Just want to let it be known that we do have men and women truly dedicated to service and they are right in our midst here in the 6th district!
