The Newton Theatre Company will hold auditions for the musical Footloose at the Roxy Theatre in Newton on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10:00 a.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2:00 p.m. Auditions are open for students in the 6th-12th grades. If you are auditioning for a main role, please visit the rnh web site for more information. Due to the difficulty and ranges of some of the music, those auditioning for main characters will need to audition with a verse and chorus from songs included in FOOTLOOSE the MUSICAL. You will also be required to read from the script. In addition, there are many opportunities for extras. Everyone auditioning for an extra will be expected to sing a verse and chorus to a song of their choice and read from the script. There will be a few dance numbers calling for experienced dancers. If you wish to be a dancer only, you may indicate that on the information sheet you will fill out at the audition. Performance dates will be April 23 – 26, 2015. Rehearsals will begin in January and will be 3 times per week.
