The Next Mile Project provides nonprofits with pro bono legal and professional services, a knowledge library of nonprofit resources and materials, and a rich virtual community all housed within a collaborative workspace on the Boston waterfront. The project stems from the model for community lawyering developed at Boston based Dhar Law, LLP. For the past three years, the firm has committed to pro bono work for nonprofits on a one-on-one basis as a part of its social enterprise philosophy, and soon realized there was room for a new model in nonprofit collaboration and innovation.
