The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard looking for an Assistant Director: Reporting to the Deputy Curator, the Assistant Director will work with the Curator and Deputy Curator to create a regular series of seminars, conferences and training for the Nieman Fellows and for the larger Harvard and journalistic communities. This programming will be responsive to the fellows evolving skills and needs as well as to the evolving challenges and needs of journalism more broadly. Specifically, the Assistant Director will oversee the planning and execution of Niemans weekly seminars, regular shop talks, skills training, and a portfolio of thematic and topical gatherings and conferences. This person will be responsible for the oversight and careful coordination of those working on events planning to insure that Nieman Foundation programs are efficiently and creatively managed, addressing relevant issues, and attracting engaged participants. This position will require schedule flexibility to include nights and weekends when needed based on the Nieman Foundations calendar of seminars and events.
