The Nigeria Federal Structure is simply irritating and incoherent with global best practises. I can not comprehend the rationale behind the establishment of the following federal ministries, agencies and departments; 1) The Federal Ministry of Youth Development when unemployment and youth unrest are re-occuring issue on daily basis like a mathematical decimal point. 2) The Federal Ministry of Health when in actual fact we have less than 40 General Hospitals in the country since independence. 3) The Federal Ministry of National Planning when Vision 20-20, MDGs 2015 Target, NEEDS document and MTEF are shadow of themselves both in planning and execution. 4) National Environment Standard and Regulation Agency (NESREA) when more than 85 percent of the population dont know her workings, functions and operations. 5) The Federal Ministry of Police Affairs when providing operational vehicles and logistic supports have become the functions of state governors in their respective states. The list is endless. This concentration of power and policies at centre is making government distance and more complex to the people. God Bless Nigeria as we allocate state power to the government that is closer to the people for the maximum benefit of the people. Amen.
