The Nigerian border arrangement and international relations with her immediate neighbours have suffered lack of attention since her acceptance in the global comity of nations. There exists a high level consanguinity between existing tribes in Nigeria and beyond her fringes. The operational technicality expected in national behavioural pattern is not functional in these areas more especially where affinities share of ethnic similarities in enthusiasms exists beyond our frontiers. The loyalty assessment of ethnic relations of Nigeria and her neighbours on familiar sides of the divide serves a higher purpose than their national call. The danger is that this progress is cataclysmic and has the potential that can trigger an unequalled empathy to emotional responses in conflict situations and deters effort in holistic nation building. This is not all too strange to given crises developments particularly in Africa, Europe and Asia. The signatures of their socio-political and economic existence is more premised on deep communal beliefs and affiliations over centuries of bonding against the more recent indoctrination which they oftentimes perceive as a necessity to rebuff. Hence, ideologies from time serve the purpose of agent provocateur in these areas. The interpretations of their co-existence in most cases appears more rigid and preserved and more traditionally educated to repel foreign influences and owes more attachments to the handed downs from their forebears. This mode of ethnic operation became more characterised and familiar with interactions of necessity overtime which the recent agents of change did not put into consideration and as such this pattern of resistance became an inculcated arsenal that found succour in empathic ally through initiated belief that was already existing bedrock. The cacophony of the terrorist development in the Nigerian state was already a myth of interpretable two pronged nature. The two runs in different parallels of married agenda with intertwined apparition but bearing the trappings of separatist aims; one of cultural notion of its belief and spread and the other of vengeful killings borne out of preserved historical hate antecedents but systematically nurtured by outside sustenance appropriated the reasons behind the psychosis. Lest we forget; before the delineation of borders these sceptres of communities have a shared mixtures of tales of bitterness and exchanged gainful alliances which civilization did little to affect. The act of terrorism in Nigeria is not strange to long neglect of unchecked cross border influences and government ineptness overtime.
