The Nigerian government has accepted an offer of help from the US to bring back nearly 300 kidnapped schoolgirls by Islamist militant group Boko Haram. US armed forces are not being sent but a team of military and law enforcement staff are heading over. The team includes experts in intelligence and hostage negotiation. The girls have been missing for over three weeks now. And yesterday a second kidnapping was reported.. involving another eleven schoolgirls. Boko Haram is also suspected to be responsible. Ontarios labour ministry is investigating an accident at a nickel mine in Sudbury that killed two workers. The deaths are triggering concerns about mining safety in the province. Two contract drillers were working underground at First Nickels Lockerby mine. The company says there was seismic activity, followed by a ground fall. The two workers have been identified as 34-year-old Mark Methe and 49-year-old Norm Bissaillon. A Canadian retailer is going out of business. Montreal based womens clothing store Jacob has filed for bankruptcy and will close all of its 92 stores across Canada in the coming weeks. The 35 year old company has been under creditor protection for the last four years... but was unable to turn things around. After more than a decade of laying low..
