They defeated their traditional rivals Kenya 44-24 in the final to win Gold Medal and a trophy. Kenya settled for Silver Medals while Botswana settled for the Bronze medal. Kick-boxing Umar Semata beat Egyptian Abdallah Hussein to claim the World Boxing Council Muay Thai belt. World Boxing Council International welterweight champion Football KCCA FC won their 10th Super League title. They defeated SC Villa 3-1 at the Lugogo Stadium last month. KCCA won back to back league titles having clinched the crown in the 2012/13 season. Golf Willy Kitatta won the Burundi Open for the second consecutive year in May, 2014. Kitatta edged Burundi golfer Jean Simbagoye by a stroke to win the tournament. Beach Soccer Kira Young Beach Soccer football club won the 2013/14 national beach soccer league at Lido beach. They beat Nkumba Select 7 – 6 in the play-off final. It was the first time Kira Young won the title. NB: Any changes to the above shortlist will be made on the floor of the assembly.
