The Nothern Stars maroon & gold scrimmage was held tonight at The Galaxy. The senior laden team took the floor and showed flashes of their talent. Levi Olson, Bubby Gopher, Junior Daychild, Cecil LaFromboise, Shadow Laforge, Isiah Murie, Skylar Parisian and newcomer Lonnie Plain Bull showed the crowd what they can expect this season. Add junior Lance Parker, sophomore Jarrell Gopher and freshmen Kordell Small it looks to be an exciting season of Star basketball. Inside/Outside productivity from the posts and guards will take care of itself. Defense is a work in progress and will be fine tuned. I will say this, we have a experienced team who has had to adjust to numerous philosophies throughout their high school career. This should help them with new head coach Adam Demontineys style of play along with his assistant Charles Lafromboises strategy. We will have more from the coaches on the upcoming season later this week as they get ready for the Native American Classic. The Star family welcomes transfer Lonnie Plain Bull and we are awaiting the ADs decision of his eligibility date. We want to see him at the NAC! Lets get ready for some awesome Star Basketball!
