The November Audubon bird count for Armand Bayou will be held this - TopicsExpress

The November Audubon bird count for Armand Bayou will be held this Saturday, November 15th. Meet in the front parking lot of Armand Bayou Nature Center at 7 a.m. Please try and be there no later than 7:05, as we have to shut the front gates shortly after that and would hate for anyone who wished to attend, to be locked out. This is the last regularly scheduled monthly bird count of 2014 as we hold the annual all day Christmas Bird Count on December 20th. Winter species have already started showing up in the area. I have spotted at least two vermilion flycatchers in our circle and a large raft of hooded mergansers were spotted today in Seabrook. A kiskadee and common ground dove have also been spotted in the area......so things are getting really good. If you are unsure if you can count, but live in the circle - please consider being a feeder watcher. My feeder watchers are invaluable! Hope to see you all this Saturday!
