The ‘Novorossiya’ project hasn’t yet closed and it will not end in Ukraine. On the contrary, we anticipate further expansion of Russian aggression. Last winter, when we were warned about Putin’s plan to annex Crimea and to start a war in the East, nobody believed it. A similar scenario is already being implemented in Moldova and Latvia. Therefore, the question is not even ‘Will Ukraine have a full-scale war?’, but rather ‘Has the war already started in the EU?’ Ahead of the EPP Groups Bureau meeting in Riga and following the recent developments in Ukraine, the EPP Group decided to give the floor to representatives of Ukraine so as to better understand what the people of Ukraine hope for from the EU and how they see their future.
